Our year 4 pupils always look forward to their residential visit at The Wilderness Centre. The centre staff are incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and available, ensuring that the children and school staff feel safe and supported. Having exclusive use of the tent village provides a great space for the children to run around and enjoy their time away from home. 

The food is excellent - locally sourced, healthy and delicious - which really adds to the overall experience. There is a wonderful range of activities available on site are perfectly suited to the children's age and abilities, allowing them to step outside of their comfort zone and develop their communication skills working as a team. 

One of the highlights of the visit is how much the children learn to appreciate the outdoors. The staff share their deep understanding of the natural environment and the impact of our actions, helping pupils to see how they can care for the world around them.
