We offer exclusive use hire, both self-catered and catered, so that large groups (up to 80) of family and friends can connect with each other and with nature.

The Wilderness Centre really the perfect venue for people to get together. It’s very private and secluded, our drive being half a mile long and with no rights of way across the estate. There are lots of different spaces to explore and make part of your experience. We want you to relax and will do all we can to make the Wilderness work for you.

The house sleeps 54 people in 10 bedrooms. Downstairs, our Ball Room is suitable for parties and large gatherings and there are two other good-sized rooms to spill into - all with fast wifi.

From April to September, we also have our classic bell tents, located in the old walled garden at the back of the house. We have 10 bell tents and can accommodate groups up to 40. There’s a large marquee, centrally heated sitting room and well equipped kitchen for self catering. If you want to bring your own tent, or camper van, that’s OK, there’s plenty of space to put them.

We have both catered and self-catered options, using our fully equipped kitchen. If you choose self-catering we can provide a list of local food companies - the Forest of Dean has many passionate, independent suppliers.

If it suits your plans, we can organise a programme of activities, for children and adults - onsite and offsite - such as nature discovery, archery, air rifles, bushcraft, high ropes, low ropes course and canoeing

We have ample parking in our main car park and in an overspill car park.

You’ll be met on arrival by a member of the team and shown where everything is.

 The Wilderness Centre is located in the Forest of Dean, one of the surviving ancient woodlands in England which lies between the River Severn and River Wye, on the border of England and Wales. We are an hour’s drive from Bristol, Swindon and Cardiff, less than 30 minutes from Gloucester, which is also the nearest train station with direct routes to London.
